When do I need a tłumaczenie przysięgłe for Poland?
The Polish term refers to a translation associated with a particular translator status. The receiving authority should confirm which form is needed for your records.

The short answer
Ask the Polish recipient whether sworn translation is required and which issuing route is accepted. The European e-Justice Portal points to the Polish Ministry of Justice’s register of sworn translators. This does not impose translation on every German certificate; also check applicable EU exemptions for public documents.
Identify the record and intended use
Record the authority, procedure and target language. Supply the original wording of the requirement, especially if it specifies a tłumacz przysięgły or particular certification.
Before ordering, check whether an adequate multilingual form or another applicable exemption covers the particular EU public record. Ask for an answer tied to your document.

Clarify sworn status and certification separately
Use the official register when the required Polish status must be checked. Copy certification, an Apostille and translator status answer different questions.
Polish consular guidance also explains a route involving consular certification of translation. The cited US mission describes its own jurisdiction; do not treat that process as the rule everywhere.

Enquire about the accepted route precisely
Assemble the complete source with reverse sides, existing stamps and attachments. Identify existing translations and differences in names or document versions.
Discuss particular Polish status requirements before commissioning. German translator certification or a general estimate does not automatically promise compliance.
Your next steps
Record the recipient, procedure and exact wording.
Check an applicable language or EU exemption.
Obtain confirmation of accepted translator status.
Enquire about the issuing route and complete scope.
More questions
Is every German-certified translation sufficient in Poland?
Not automatically. The accepted format and any applicable exemption matter.
Does an Apostille replace translation?
No. Authentication and language translation serve different purposes.
Does an enquiry promise the particular Polish status?
No. Availability and format must be expressly confirmed.
