The interpreter starts to interpret and translate the spoken word when the speaker pauses. This means that the time needed is much greater due to the time delay.

Consecutive interpreters are mostly needed for speeches and ceremonial occasions.

A special kind of consecutive interpreting is the so-called liaison interpretation. Here, shorter text passages are translated in conversations; this also occurs when the speaker pauses. This form is often used with negotiations or table talks.

To calculate the price, we need the languages, interpreting type, date, duration and full address. Preparation materials and additional notes are optional.

Please note that we need a certain lead time for interpreter appointments.

When should the interpreter be on site? Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM. You can also choose the date and time in the calendar.

For example, 2.5 or 2,5 hours. Both a decimal point and comma are supported.

How far in advance should I request an interpreter?

Please allow 3–5 working days and provide the date, start time and expected duration. For short-notice appointments, contact us for personal advice.

Do I need documents to get a price estimate?

Documents are optional. An agenda, terminology or other materials help the interpreter prepare. For pricing, we need the languages, interpreting type, date and time, duration and full address in Germany.

Does calculating the price confirm a booking?

No. You first receive a free initial price estimate without registration. Calculating the price alone does not book an appointment. Check your details and the subsequent ordering steps before completing an order.
