Which translations are needed for early-years educator recognition?
Professional recognition as an Erzieherin or Erzieher has its own evidence requirements. Use the checklist for the intended work location and your qualification.

The short answer
Use the Recognition Finder to identify the competent authority and compare its checklist with your records. The cited Stuttgart example requires suitable training evidence and accepts German or English versions under its stated conditions. That language rule is not a general standard across all German states; ask your actual recipient.
Select the appropriate professional procedure
State the intended work location and exact qualification. Distinguish state professional recognition from recognition of school records and simply applying to a childcare provider.
Keep the instructions for your own circumstances. If the work location or intended profession changes, recheck competence and the existing document checklist.
Document training content as well as the qualification title
Organise the qualification, subject and grade lists and requested evidence of training length and content. Identify separate practical-training evidence and any requested professional authorisation.
For its Stuttgart example, the Recognition Finder identifies publicly appointed or authorised translators in Germany or abroad and the accepted languages. If your checklist differs, ask which status is required.

Agree copies, originals and translation separately
The source describes copies initially and warns against sending originals; other evidence formats may be requested later. Do not borrow a copy format from another procedure without asking.
Provide the complete requested files with the checklist, language and deadline. Translation does not establish equivalence or replace further decisions about professional work.

More questions
Are English records always sufficient?
No. The cited example accepts them under its conditions; other authorities may require German.
Is applying to a childcare provider the same as recognition?
No. Use the official procedure checklist required for your objective.
Should I send originals for translation or to the authority?
Clarify the actual need first. Do not send originals unsolicited; the source provides for copies initially.
