Which documents need translating for APS India?
APS checks Indian educational records. Verification, translation and the later university or visa application are separate processes.

The short answer
Use the APS India checklist for your educational stage. Its current FAQ requires notarised English translations where academic records were issued only in an Indian regional language. Do not automatically apply this requirement to English originals or APS procedures in other countries.
Select the correct APS India procedure
Have your education history and existing awards available. Save the corresponding APS checklist rather than combining records from different procedures into an assumed standard list.
APS does not decide university admission or visa applications. Plan those later stages with their own lists so missing application evidence is not confused with a missing translation.

Record original language and translation format
For each certificate, note whether it was officially issued in English or bilingually. Include every page of the existing version when asking whether translation is needed at all.
Agree any required notarisation with an available issuer beforehand. A German translator’s certification should not be assumed equivalent to the notarised format mentioned in APS instructions.
Track APS, uni-assist and the university separately
Create an overview of recipient, document, language and deadline. The same qualification may be needed at several stages; mark any differences in format or submission requirements.
Retain identifiable versions of the checked sources and finished translations. A later university requirement can then be addressed precisely without redefining the entire assignment.
